The Drowned City

I live in a city of hanging thoughts and interrupted minds
In the background a stilled pendulum the aquatic device binds
screams Truth and Falsity laced in a silent floating mobile
submerged with unanswered questions - a teal-tainted Chernobyl

This is the world you'd see if you were to ever look, by inadvertence, inside these eyes
Evr'yday I live the horror
Of the Silurian error
I've cried for years over
disguised lies, "see you"s that sound like goodbyes, a reprise that ties my skies together
Until the "on repeat" skips, the water reach the heights
and the aboves make one with the drowned city

Oh, and if you ever try to find me...
There is a house at the top of a small hill, not far away from the outskirt of the city.
It's a house made of red brick with big bay windows once blessed with bright sunny days.
But the light was chased and the silent emptiness hidden into the liquid haze;
White fenced garden guarded by an army of giants holding empty swings shapes its womb.
It's an empty place of banished laughter and broken mirrors, and my heart is the bomb.

…So there's no hope for me, even on the other side.

...There is a house at the top of a small hill, its hollow halls breathe me in.
It's an house of whispers and of whispered dead love. Its ghosts dress in black, to grieve empty coffins.
It's a house with a facade of blackberry bushes, with thorns holding their Sleeping Beauty
waiting with a grey face,
no eyeballs,
softnest gone,
and cold dead lips, have been waiting too long for a kiss.
